How To Change Your Jailbreak Iphone's Root Password

If you have jailbroken iphone you are not secure because ikee (it scans the neighborhood for jailbroken iphones which have SSH installed on them with the default "alpine" password. when vulnerable iphone detected , the hacker can extract all kind of data stored in the iphone. if you want to secure your jailbroken iphone data then you need to change your root password.

Step 1: Tap on Cydia on your jailbroken iphone

Step 2: Search for "MobileTerminal" application in Cydia and install this. When installed successfully reboot your iphone.



Step 3: After Reboot start MobileTerminal application and type the following command "passwd"




Step 4: Now you will be asked for your iphone old password which is "alpine" (Type alpine with out quotes), simply Enter your old and new Password and your are done sucessfully. Remember your new password.
