Apple has released the new iphone firmware 3.1.3 today for iphone 3G/3Gs and ipod touch. iphone 3.1.3 is not the same version which runs on ipad 3.2 OS.
To update to iphone 3.1.3 Firmware, All you have to do is connect your iphone with your computer via USB and start itunes. You should see a new message "A new iphone software version (3.1.3) is available for iphone. Would you like to download and install it now?". Simply click on "Download and Install" button to get on to the new version.
Changes in new iphone 3.1.3 is as bellow.
- improves accuracy of reported battery level on iphone 3GS
- Resolves issue where 3rd party application would not launch in some instances
- Fixes bug that may cause an application to crash when using the Japanese Kana Keyboard.
