Develpers to use Application Loader to Upload App to iTunes

Apple has notified those iOS developers who are registered with them, not to submit or update their App Store Apps via the online iTunes Connect client. Ever since the launch of App Store way back in summer 2008, developers were using the iTunes connect client but now they have been asked to use the Application Loader from July 22 onwards which is the already available native Mac app.

The Application Loader can be downloaded from the iTunes Connect website. It also comes installed in iOS 3.2 SDK or later. The reasons for adopting this new method of uploading apps to the App Store are as follows:-
  • It offers quicker upload speeds.
  • Stable connections to iTunes Connect.
  • More precise verification warnings for developers.
